Fox chosen to finish county recorder’s term
Pulaski County will be seeing a new face in the recorder’s office after a Republican caucus on Dec. 10.

Personal property changes begin Jan. 1
Indiana Code has changed the personal property “acquisition date” (personal property owned) beginning in 2016 from March 1 to Jan. 1. The deadline to file personal property returns has not changed and remains May 15, 2016.

Indiana year-long celebration begins
The year-long celebration in anticipation of the 200th anniversary next year of President James Madison signing the act admitting Indiana as the 19th State of the Union began on Dec. 11.

Cities and towns across the state raised a flag proclaiming Dec. 11 as Indiana Statehood Day and the official kickoff of the bicentennial. EPCSC school calendar approved for next two years
Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation is planning for the future and already looking ahead to a new school year.

The board approved the 2016-2017 and the 2017-2018 school calendars after they were recommended by a school calendar committee. Superintendent Dan Foster said the corporation traditionally approves a two-year school calendar. Click to continue reading…
